Hey, back then I didn't have anything to fill its position. After all, it is signed which must surely provide positive coolness? If you were really at that Placebo gig then you would have all my Emily Strange Eighties Matchbox promos too. As for trying to appear casually cool, did you completely miss my Czech chair sculpture that was constructed after I went out and the rest of the staircase climbed through my window? It included half a term's worth of attempts at physics questions in the form of precariously balanced paper balls.

You've obviously not been paying me enough attention.

We've already discussed that gig at length and I thought you would have remembered that. You were about three rows from the front as was I. The queue was a laugh. I don't recall whether you liked Little Hell but I didn't see anyone like you. I got two long posters, two stickers a postcard and my huge Placebo poster (bought for two pounds) that night.

Clearly not.

I was not 3 rows from the front! by the end i was up against the front barrier i'll have you know. Little Hell were ok, the girl was lame tho, i'm a real woman heter when it comes to stuff like that. I got a poster from the last time i saw them, but i never saw any at that gig......shame.

Clearly not.

I'm hurt.

I was not 3 rows from the front! by the end i was up against the front barrier i'll have you know.

Last time you told me that you were a few rows from the front for most of the gig. I can't remember what you were wearing though.

I got a poster from the last time i saw them, but i never saw any at that gig

There were tons of huge posters being sold after the gig - you must not have been cool enough.

Speaking of coolness... One look at my room should confirm that I pulled out all the stops to try not to appear to be a fag. I mean, the surfaces are clear! You can see my carpet. Every other moment of last term there were a gazillion useless sheets of lecture handouts strewn across every inch of the floor. Every time I put them into piles, a draught would strike. Did you really think my room would ever be anywhere near that tidy?

Little Hell are cool. I liked them better before they sold out by playing gigs with Eighties Matchbox.

But they've always had a shit name and their bassist is probably a loser.

When i worked at Virgin there was a signed ash poster in the cash office from when they did a signing there.

It was certainly not cool.

 omfg
You probably won't believe this but I was at that signing (scroll to the bottom and ignore what a fag I was, plzplzplz). I won that very poster.

Were you working there that day? Do you remember which single Ash had just released in July 2001? It was Sometimes. Now look again at the picture of my room. It's the very same poster you saw in the cash office. It's signed in the same places. It has a pouting Charlotte Hatherly look hott and it's for Sometimes.

Karen, it was fucking cool.

I'm just wondering whether there's any possibility Karen fixed the prize draw in order to let me win...

by the way ASH all-but-about-three-songs suck!

Sure they have some weaker choons (and albums too), but the good handful of songs they play are mos def FUCKCRUNCHINGLY SUPERB.
