'Sup fags?
Word up, yo. Get ready for something even better than a "I've got a new journal" post.

Everyone who's cool must go and add my new [info]turkeygobbling feed to their flist. Trust: it's the best thing ever. It contains sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll so you better like it. What's more, it's updated at least 100 times more regularly than this journal and includes pretty pictures every now and then.

For more info, feel free to refer to my  .

I don't understand. What are you up to and where at the moment? I kept finding parks when I first came here but other parts of it are very different and in some ways more exciting. Even though nothing happens. Ever.

In Downing? That's mad.

I do NatSci or Natural Sciences. Ask notsoape what that means. Substitute in "far too hard physics" if you prefer.

It is pretty mad,it's so pretty though, feels like a hotel or something, how do you ever feel at home here? She says you get to call yourself some exciting name, sounds like a lot of fun... I'm leaving in a minute or two though anyway,so I'll wave across the quad or something.

I'd say it's a lot of work rather than a lot of fun. I think J staircase was done up recently, it used to have damp and mould and cold stone floors - I found it a lot more homely before they brought in blackout blinds, colour coordinated curtains and stripped the wood off the fireplaces. If you want a hotel feel, check out some of the posh rooms with ensuite bathrooms next door in K. I'm with a nice bunch of people in a house now, so it's a bit better. Thanks for the wave.

By claiming student loan, rarely paying more than a fiver, smuggling booze in and not being a financial retard like Felix and co.

Also: I'm not a lazy bum like you.

Not going to London and not having to pay a tenner on travel every time you leave the house proably helps somewhat too.

Also: Dur, but I don't see what that has to do with anything.

Good point. Though I doubt your buses cost that much and you could always provide your own transport.

In case nobody's let you know yet, having a job provides you with money.

No, but trains are far too expensive. Nonetheless it still works out cheaper for me to use public transport, with the added benefit of being able to pretend I make some vague and miniscule difference to the world's energy consumption.

In case nobody's let you know yet, I have 2 part time jobs atm.

I didn't realise there were trains from your house to civilisation.

I have to get a bus to Croydon before I can actually get on a train/bus anywhere, but it could be worse. It could be Pease Pottage.

Stuff happens in Croydon. It's not so bad. And it's a lot cheaper for you to get into London than for anyone else.

Unless I'm missing out massively, nothing particularly good.

True, It's cheaper, but on the same note I don't have a 'scene' right on my doorstep. At least not until September.
From:turkeyphant [.]

I wasn't aware of having a "scene" either. Where might you be in September?

You seem to be frequenting the same indie pubs/clubs quite a bit, so close enough.

I've got unconditional offers to study software engineering at both Sheffield Hallam and Brighton. Haven't decided yet, but will probably end up at Brighton.
